Bio
Valerie Kale, PA-C is from the area (grew up in Kickapoo) and her father, mother, and brother have all been patients and received exceptional care at Great Plains Orthopaedics. Valerie shadowed the PA’s at Great Plains Orthopaedics before being admitted to PA school (St. Ambrose University Physician Assistant Program) and it was in following the PA’s at GPO that she realized she would be happy doing what they did for the rest of her life. She loved every day she shadowed at Great Plains and found the staff to be exceptional. Once she entered PA school, she found myself gravitating towards anything surgical and had an amazing clinical rotation with Great Plains Orthopaedics. The doctors took the time to teach, the PA’s worked well together as a team, and she loved that we were able to have such a positive impact on patients’ lives. She truly has her dream job.
Community Involvement: In the past, Valerie volunteered at the Richard Owen’s Hospice Home. Now that she is settled back in Peoria, she looks forward to pursuing new opportunities. Valerie is also Catholic and regularly attend church at either St. Mary’s in Kickapoo or Richard Owen’s.
Hobbies: Valerie enjoys reading, going to the gym, and traveling.
Philosophy: She loves the field of medicine because it is constantly evolving and there is always more to learn. Valerie also loves interacting with patients and finding ways to help their unique circumstances. She is excited to be back in the Peoria area.
