I am from the area (grew up in Kickapoo) and my father, mother, brother and I have all been patients and received exceptional care at Great Plains Orthopedics. I shadowed the PA’s at Great Plains Orthopedics before being admitted to PA school (St. Ambrose University Physician Assistant Program) and it was in following the PA’s at GPO that I realized I would be happy doing what they did for the rest of my life. I loved every day I shadowed at Great Plains and found the staff to be exceptional. Once I entered PA school I found myself gravitating towards anything surgical and had an amazing clinical rotation with Great Plains Orthopedics. The doctors took the time to teach me, the PA’s worked well together as a team, and I loved that we were able to have such a positive impact on patients’ lives. I truly have my dream job.
In the past, I volunteered at the Richard Owen’s Hospice Home. Now that I am settled back in Peoria, I look forward to pursuing new opportunities. I am also Catholic and regularly attend church at either St. Mary’s in Kickapoo or Richard Owen’s.
I enjoy reading, going to the gym, and traveling.
I love the field of medicine because it is constantly evolving and there is always more to learn. I also love interacting with patients and finding ways to help their unique circumstances. I am excited to be back in the Peoria area.
