Bio

Josh Holton, PA-C grew up in southern Michigan. He participated in football, basketball, baseball, and track. After high school he went to Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan to play football and continue his education. While playing football he sustained several injuries that required orthopedic care. He always found it fascinating to learn about how the body works.

While pursuing his graduate degree in physician assistant studies at A.T. Still University, he completed an elective clinical rotation at Duke University in Orthopaedic Surgery. There he observed initial patient visits, how the operating room functions, and post op appointments. That experience solidified his passion for orthopedics.

Playing sports growing up shaped the provider he is today. Being a provider is like playing sports, a team must work together to achieve a common goal. In orthopedics that goal is restoring and maintaining the musculoskeletal system. Josh is thankful to be a part of the team at Great Plains Orthopaedics.
