Biography

Certification & Education

Steven J. Vander Naalt, MD enjoys anatomy and applying it to a patients’ problem. Hand surgery allows you to take the anatomy and skills from several different surgical disciplines – orthopaedics, plastic, vascular, general surgery – to help a wide range of patients.

Dr. Vander Naalt enjoys helping any patient that is having daily pain or numbness and hearing how a surgery has helped them return to normal daily activities. He has had several patients express how happy they are that their symptoms they have had for years are now completely gone.

He prefers to spend spare time with his wife and two children, working outside, and swimming.

Medicine allows Dr. Vander Naalt to have a job where he can constantly stay engaged and interested in what he is doing.  Hand surgery allows Dr. Vander Naalt to help people with daily problems or an injury they were not prepared for.  I feel privileged to be able to help others and treat all patients like they are family.
