Jenell L. Eddins, PA-C always had a passion for sports and helping others. She felt that Orthopaedics gives the best of both worlds. Dr. Eddins gets to truly “fix” broken bones and help patients, and hopefully get people back to doing the things they enjoy again.
Most memorable patient or case: She had a patient that had an open fracture and had osteomyelitis that he had been dealing with for many years. He needed a below knee amputation. While he was in the hospital he became very ill. We found that we had a common interest and each day on rounds we would chat. His condition improved and eventually he was discharged home but it was nice to get to know that side of him and for me to open up about myself to a patient.
Community involvement: Race for the Cure – yearly participation
Hobbies: Spending time with my niece and nephew, traveling, horseback riding and competing in horse shows, running, watching Steeler football, and spoiling my dog Riley.
Family: Jenell Eddins, PA-C has two awesome sisters and a great Dad.
Philosophy: The human body is remarkable! It’s our temple and we should all treat it as such.
