Orthopedics has always been an area of interest for me. I played sports growing up and had several injuries including a partially torn ACL and distal fibula fracture, so I was able to play the role of the patient. During PA school, my orthopedic rotations always excited me the most as I was now helping treat the injured patient. Now, I really enjoy having a hand helping improve the quality of life of our patients who have decided to undergo a total joint replacement or have been injured. I love working in the OR as well as being able to see patients in the office.
My other hobbies include: Golfing, fishing, waterfowl hunting, and traveling.
I have a wife, Jamie Jelinek, who is also a PA. We have a daughter, Aubrey Claire, who enjoys keeping us busy. We also have a Springer-doodle, Tucker.
My wife and I are both from small towns in Illinois. Peoria has the small town feel with all the amenities and entertainment of a bigger city. We are very close with our families and Peoria is a good gathering place
