Great Plains Maximum Performance Testimonials

Zach Glavash

When I first came to Great Plains Maximum Performance I had just torn my hamstring the week before in a collegiate 400 meter race. I had no power, little movement, and major swelling. Because of this injury I did not believe that I would get back to full strength and be able to pick up where I left off with 3 Big Ten Conference Championships and 2 All-American accolades. It was a long and grueling road, but with the dedication of the staff, and their knowledge to rehabilitate my hamstring, I not only came out of that summer with a rehabilitated hamstring, but also with a more dynamic physical ability. From the rehab at Great Plains Maximum Performance I was able to get back to my full strength and win the Big Twelve outdoor 800 meter title as well as snag my 3rd All-American status. After that season, I was able to become a professional runner.

Now, every time I come home to Peoria, Illinois from Lubbock, Texas, I always come back to Great Plains Maximum Performance to workout so that I can improve my weaknesses and gain on my strengths. They truly gave me the rehab, tools, and knowledge, to save my running career and push my abilities to new heights.

Thank you Great Plains Maximum Performance!

My first experience with Great Plains Maximum Performance was my senior year of high school when I was looking to gain strength, power, and speed for my upcoming season of college volleyball. MP work-outs and the staff helped me to be in the best shape possible entering into my first preseason. I was strong, healthy, and very confident. The experience I had that summer was unmatched.

Unfortunately, a SI joint injury a couple weeks into the season caused me to medical redshirt my freshman season. I came back to Great Plains over holiday breaks for both rehab and Maximum Performance and I couldn't have made a better decision. Christmas Break that year was the most crucial time in my recovery. I visited Great Plains three days a week for rehab and training. The people at Great Plains designed a specific training program that got me back out on the court stronger than ever for competition within weeks.

As great as it is to get back on track, healthy and strong, it is even better to know that the staff at Great Plains is always thinking of ways to make you better as an athlete, as well as, trying to prevent future injuries. I appreciate everything that Great Plains has offered throughout the years, and I will continue to train with them. I am completely certain that Great Plains plays a huge role in my athletic success!

Working with the Strength Coaches at Maximum Performance not only helped improve my performance, but also helped me better understand the principals of training. Their attention to detail and educating why we do the exercises we do not only helped improve my speed, strength, and endurance but also helped prevent injuries that could affect my athletic endeavors. Now I compete and contest for medals at the national level on a consistent basis, injury free and in the best shape I can be in for my key events.

I started at Great Plains Maximum Performance after completing therapy for compartment syndrome in my right leg. As I won two state championships in 2006, it was very important to me to get back to top shape. I completed the program for sixteen weeks to get back into shape. While I was there I was very worried about my leg but everyone was very supportive and helped me out so much. I felt 100% better after the first eight weeks and then I took the next eight weeks to get even stronger for track. I had a very successful senior year (2006-2007) winning two indoor and two outdoor state championships in the 200m and 400m races. Additionally, I was also able to tie the state record at a small meet. I give a lot of credit to Great Plains Maximum Performance for my success. If it wasn't for them, I know that I would not have been as successful this year as I was. Thanks Maximum Performance.
