Sports Medicine Services
Great Plains Orthopaedics utilizes a team approach, with our physicians and professional staff, to assist athletes in returning to their sport as quickly and safely as possible.
High School Visitation Program
Great Plains Orthopaedics is pleased to provide Sports Medicine services to twelve local high schools. A certified athletic trainer visits each high school at a pre-determined day and time. During these regularly scheduled visits the athletic trainer will provide services to include the evaluation, management, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic/sport related injuries.
Event Medical Coverage
Athletic trainers and physicians associated with Great Plains Orthopaedics provide on-site medical care for sporting events. This on-site medical coverage allows for emergency management of severe/life threatening injuries, first aid as well as evaluation and treatment of the injuries that occur during the contest.
After Hour Telephone Consultations
Great Plains Orthopaedics provides after-hour telephone consultation, with a certified athletic trainer, for questions concerning new non-emergency sports injuries. Please call 911 for an emergency injury. For new sports injuries occurring after hours, a certified athletic trainer can be contacted by calling the office answering service at 309-677-6029.
