Physical and occupational therapy are critical elements of any orthopaedic practice. Our comprehensive rehabilitation department is staffed with skilled and experienced physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists, occupational therapist assistants, athletic trainers and strength coaches. Additionally, our specialized staff includes Orthopedic Certified Specialists, Certified Hand Therapists, and ASTYM® Certified Clinicians.
On your initial visit the physical/occupational therapist will start with an evaluation measuring your range of motion, flexibility, strength, balance and coordination to determine your functional status. An individualized rehabilitation program is then developed to address pain and any identified deficiencies. Individual goals are set and are then modified during the course of treatment to ensure the patient is appropriately progressed. Working as a team with our physicians and physician assistants, the therapists progress each patient as quickly and safely as possible back to their daily and functional activities.
Our rehabilitation services are conveniently located at the Downtown Office, 303 N. William Kumpf Blvd., and the North Therapy Office, 7800 N. Sommer Street, in Peoria (just off Pioneer Parkway) in Suite 506. With both locations offering street level parking, they provide easy access for patients.
Our therapy staff is credentialed by their national governing body and licensed as required by the State of Illinois. They take continuing education courses to further their knowledge of the most effective ways to provide rehabilitation services to our patients.
Our staff can offer the following specialized treatments:
