Great Plains Orthopaedics provides diagnostic services for the convenience of our patients. Our diagnostic services include X-rays and DEXA scans. For your reference, here are brief definitions of our DEXA services:

DEXA:

This stands for Dual X-Ray Absorptometry. It’s also commonly known as a DEXA Scan. This diagnostic test scans bone and measures bone mineral density using two X-ray beams of different energy levels. This test is painless and the amount of radiation exposure is considered low.
