Ryan T. Robinson, M.D. specializes in sports medicine and is board certified in emergency medicine. He chose this specialty because he enjoys the challenge and reward of returning patients (both athletes and non-athletes) to activities they enjoy. Dr. Robinson particularly appreciates the hands-on nature of field and event medical coverage.
He has served as team physician for Saint Louis University Athletics. Dr. Robinson has also filled the role of team physician for many other athletic teams including the Gateway Grizzlies Independent League Baseball, Saint Louis Bandits Junior A League Baseball, Lindenwood University Varsity Football and Mascoutah High School Football, as well as provided event coverage for Tour of Missouri, Tour de Belleville and the Lewis and Clark Marathon.
Dr. Robinson has presented a variety of lectures including “Shoulder, Knee and Spine: The Musculoskeletal Examination” and “Irreducible Posterior Elbow Dislocation with Intact Medial Collateral Ligament”. He is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American College of Sports Medicine.
Born in Decatur, Dr. Robinson chose to pursue his studies and practice medicine here in Illinois. He is married with one son and two dogs. He enjoys gardening, following his favorite sports teams, walking his dogs and collecting bobbleheads.
